Summer Program For Preschoolers!

Seedlings: A seven-week preschool program at the Hampshire College Farm Center

The Farm Education Collaborative is offering a new program at the Hampshire College Farm Center for summer 2011.  A small group of children and two experienced teachers will gather each weekday for a hands-on exploration of farm and garden life.  With the cozy farmhouse “sun room” as home base, the Seedlings will venture out to the barnyard, the children’s garden, and the larger farm fields and woods for a balance of work and play that meets individual needs.  Animal chores, cooking experiments, outdoor games, quiet time, water play, and musical movement will fill our days, allowing the Seedlings to learn and grow together.  To register your preschooler for the Seedlings program, click here.



Details:
- Families must commit to the full six consecutive weeks (July 9th through August 17th)
- Campers can attend 2, 3, or 5 days on a set schedule (eg. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays) 
- Arrival time between 8:45 and 9:30 am
- Pickup time between 2:30 and 3:00 pm
- Fee: $350/week or $70/day
- Deposit fee of $200
- Ages: 3 to 4 years
- Small teacher/ child ratio
- Staff: 1 Lead Teacher, 1 Teaching Assistant, and additional activity staff
